We’ve all had those moments where we’ve been running around trying to find an ATM to withdraw cash from. This is especially a problem in a new city, or if you prefer using only your own bank’s ATMs to avoid extra charges. Android users can now rejoice, because the ATM Locator Pakistan app by Data Solutions has all the data you need – right at your fingertips.
What the App Offers
Locate banks and ATMS around you easily while on the go. You can also access the contact details for each bank branch (such as phone number and address) and the app will also help provide you directions to your chosen ATM. You can use the handy map the app includes to make sure you find the way easily. You can also favorite banks and ATMS all over the country, should you need to access the data later.
Of course, the app needs Location and Internet services. While I was unable to test the app (iPhone user here!), I believe you will have to allow it to track your location by giving it permissions when it installs. Once installed, it uses either your data connection or WiFi to fetch data on banks near your location, which is determines using GPS and your mobile network.
The app also allows you to search by bank. So if you only want to see Standard Chartered ATMs in the area, you can search specifically for the bank itself.
As the app is currently in beta, expect some glitches. However, the developer has noted that they want to receive feedback on bugs and errors so they can continue to improve the product. The trial version (which is the only one available right now) allows you to see 25 banks via search (or near you), and store 15 banks as favorites.
That being said, so far it’s getting great reviews on the Google Play Store. It has a 4.2 rating, and the team works hard to answer all issues as soon as they pop up.
