On Tuesday December 20, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) hosted the inaugural “IT Awards 2016” at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad. The event was organized by PSEB in collaboration with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication. Awards recognizing the excellence in performance were presented to the representatives of various IT companies, from specific programs to global initiatives. The purpose of this award is to promote the spirit of competition among IT brands in Pakistan and to highlight the concept of innovation in technology.
The Minister of State of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Anusha Rehman Khan, was the chief guest at the event. IT Awards 2016 – attended by the top executives of IT companies, business leaders, government officials, media representatives and industry experts – can easily be categorized as one of the most prestigious awards in the IT industry.
The IT award parented by Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is designed to continue annually to celebrate the industry’s top-performing IT exporters.
Keynote speakers at the event included: Mr. Asim Shahryar Husain, MD PSEB; Mr. Salim Ghauri, Netsol; Mr. Naseer Akhtar InfoTech; and Mr. Haroon Kanth, Teradata Pakistan. Speakers shared their insights on an array of topics pertaining to the IT industry, specifically ranging from innovation to strategy, policy and technology.
