This partnerships in turn will infuse the needed funds and will leave no stone turned to promote the team and eventually the league.

Mobilink and Cricket

Being the premier telco in Pakistan, Mobilink has for quite some time associated itself with cricket and been a part of initiatives to promote the sport further. To continue with this trend, Mobilink has further strengthened their commitment to promoting Cricket and partnered with Lahore Qalandars.

The partnership with Lahore Qalandars will further strengthen Mobilink’s commitment to promoting cricket in Pakistan.

To make a formal announcement of the tie up an event was organized in Lahore attended by Mobilink personnel, PCB officials, the management of Lahore Qalandars Management and of course the media and fans.

At the ceremony a noted few also made speeches to mark the announcement. Notably Mr. Aamir Ibrahim, Deputy CEO and CCO-Mobilink stated that, “We intend to provide full support to the team. Lahore Qalandars is a formidable team which has a great probability of winning the PSL. We know the pulse of the nation and have always developed innovative products and services that bring cricket closer to Pakistan. This initiative reinforces our vision. We are proud to be a part of this league. I am confident that this partnership will greatly benefit Pakistan cricket and will help in revitalizing the sport in the country”.

Taking the stage and presenting his own point of view on the partnership Mr. Shahbaz Maqsood Khan, Director Marketing, Mobilink said, “We feel that this partnership is an extremely positive step forward for Pakistani cricket; a step towards bringing international cricket back to Pakistan, for our cricketers to gain expertise and to providing a platform for our budding talent to showcase their prowess. The success of PSL is not an option

All eyes are on the Pakistan Super League at the moment. This initiative, albeit a bit late, could prove the turning point in Pakistan cricket as it has the power to revitalize cricket in Pakistan and maybe also bring the game back to our soil.

Being postponed a couple of times and a last minute change of venue from Qatar to the UAE were early hurdles to the league but we can see now that all parts are now working as a well-oiled machine. All that is left now is for the fireworks to begin from 4th Feb onwards.
