The service is currently charging Rs. 15 per kilometer. The service also charges Rs. 20 for the services Cargar is providing. For instance, you will be charged Rs. 95 for the ride if you travel 5 kilometers from one location to another.

To ensure the safety of both the passengers and the riders, usage of helmets is made mandatory for both parties. While speaking to Express Tribune, the CEO of Cargar Farhan Ahmed stated:

“Cargar aims to provide maximum safety for its customers with helmets made mandatory for all riders and passengers”

It is appropriate to note that all bikes will be in-house. Cargar will be responsible for the vehicles and their riders. While talking about the revenue-sharing model, Faran said:

“We have designed our percentage sharing model in a way that our subscribers will be able to generate a handsome monthly income with little investment”

Faran Ahmed – the brain behind Cargar

Faran Ahmed is a graduate from NUST University. Moreover, he is a software engineer by trade and is the CEO behind Cargar. The purpose of launching motorcycle taxi service in Pakistan is to provide cheaper transportation options.

Subsequently, the usage of motorcycles is to keep the costs low.

The CEO of Cargar got the inspiration while he was in Indonesia last year. During his visit, he observed students commuting from one place to another by using motorcycle taxis. The traffic in Indonesia reminded him of the traffic back in Pakistan.

According to Faran Ahmed, the startup will keep things in-house before moving on to the Uber model.
