Studying in UK is now easier with Chevening Scholarship Program

Eligibility criteria

The Chevening Program also has its own eligibility criteria which can help you decide whether you can apply for the program or not. The guide on the Chevening website is a good way to get acknowledged about the eligibility conditions, however, these are the major points which can help you evaluate your eligibility:

A. The program is available only for those who have a Master degree or a 4-year undergraduate degree along with an experience of 2 years in their designated field. If you haven’t completed your Masters yet, or if you haven’t completed your undergraduate studies, then this program is not for you.
B. A British equivalent CGPA of 2:1 is needed in order to apply for the program. Most of the universities have no reservations for CGPA less than that.
C. You will have to score at least 6.5 in the IELTS test. Score less than that is unacceptable. If your university requires some other alternate test, then you also have to take that test and achieve good grades in that.
D. In order to boost your application, you would need a considerable amount of quality reference letters.

The program provides you financial support in the following areas:

1. Tuition fees
2. Monthly allowance
3. Transport money used to travel to/from the UK
4. Arrival allowance
5. Money for one visa application
6. A travel grant which will allow you to attend events in the UK
7. Homeward departure allowance
