Telenor launches 4G service across 6 cities including Karachi, Lahore with free trials

Telenor Pakistan has officially launched 4G service across 6 different cities in the country. The service is currently available in some parts of Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar and Swat.

The news was published in various newspaper of Pakistan. According to the advert, Telenor has officially rolled out the 4G network to some parts of the aforementioned cities.

According to the telecom company, the service is currently available free of cost. However, it is a limited time offer. Additionally, the service is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers on the network.

Pre-requisites of availing Telenor’s 4G service

In order to avail Telenor’s 4G service, you need to replace your current SIM. Telenor users can replace their SIMs by visiting Telenor service centers in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar and Swat. A user doesn’t have to pay any amount for the replacement of the SIM.

Furthermore, the users also need to have 850MHz compatible 4G GSM handsets to access Telenor’s 4G service.

Areas covered

According to the feedback of customers on ProPakistani.pk, the 4G service of Telenor is currently available on the following locations:

1- Sector F-11 and G-13 in Islamabad
2- Multan Cantt
3- Shershah road, Multan
4- Kalma chowk, Multan

As for now, there is no limit on the data. Furthermore, the coverage map is also not yet presented by the telecom company.

Three weeks ago, PTA issued official license to Telenor for 4G spectrum. In addition, Anusha Rahman formally handed over 4G license to Telenor Pakistan at license awarding ceremony some 2 weeks ago.
