What is the one thing that is common across Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Islamabad? You would be absolutely spot-on if your answer is – Great food! 7Up has been running a four part series tv show called Asal Foodie Show. The soft drink major has been very active in promoting the food scene in the country. This is one more such attempt to explore the culinary treasures from our food streets to popular eating places in the city.
The show itself is an exciting combination of a city panorama and its delightful culinary offerings. The very young and hip VJ pair Anoushey and Shahzad host the show and take the viewer through the amazing food choices and eateries in the city. The show spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner is sure a joyride for the senses. They even find time in between meals to take us through the historical monuments of the city and their importance to our culture and heritage.
But, the show is anything but a lesson in history! It is a roller coaster of delightful delicacies that the city has to offer. Each of the cities they visit, they are also joined by a popular celebrity who is just as passionate about food as they are about their craft. So far the show has featured the gorgeous Sarwat Gilani, Ali Hamza and Ali Safina.
The final episode which is to be aired yet, will feature the current heartthrob and Tere Bin sensation Uzair Jaswal. The excitement and fun with some great food and chilled 7Up will enthrall food lovers across the country.
The show itself is one of its kinds and gives you more than just any food show does. It also presents an opportunity to get up close and personal with your favorite celebrities.
