The tech monster, Google has finally got an answer to all your transport pains. In a latest development, you can now book a ride on Uber by using Google Maps app.
Lately, Google announced an update for Google Maps. As a result, it will allow all the users on both iOS and Android to book a ride on Uber and to track the location of the driver on the map. Amazingly, you can avail this service without any cost and you will not be required to leave the app.

Statement of Google
In a recent blog post of Google, the statement read:
“Today, we’re starting to roll out an updated ride services experience to make it even easier for you to book a ride directly from Google Maps, on both Android and iOS globally”
Moreover, it further added:
“You can now book an Uber ride, track your driver on the map, and connect with your driver—all from within the Google Maps app”
There is an exclusive icon to avail ride services on the Google Maps. In order to book a ride on Uber, a user is required to simply enter their desired location on Google Maps. Once the destination is recorded, click on the ride service icon which exhibits service providers in the very location.
It is worth mentioning that Google Maps is integrated only with Uber and not with any other ride-hailing service. Subsequently, a user will have to go to another app to avail any other ride-hailing service.
In addition to aforementioned services, Google Maps also gives liberty to the users to track the precise location of their driver. Moreover, a user will not be required to leave the app and he would be able to contact his driver while staying in the app. The app also allows the users to forecast the ride fares.

A statement on the blog post of Google read:
“From booking a ride to reserving a table at a local restaurant, booking your favorite fitness class to ordering delivery for a night in, Google Maps no longer just shows you the information you’re looking for. It also makes it easier to get things done in the real world — all in one place”
Google’s recent update has taken them one step ahead to make Google Maps a one-stop app where a user can book rides, reserve a table a restaurant, order food and much more.
