The newly-launched Nissan 2018 Leaf is equipped with advanced technology. The semi-autonomous driving capability enables the vehicle to park without any human intervention. Moreover, it can also run on a highway in a single lane without the assistance of the driver.
As far as the specs of the Nissan’s new electric vehicle is concerned, it is embedded with a brand new 40 kWh battery which provides 150 miles of range. In addition, one of its most unique features is its e-pedal. The feature empowers the car to start, accelerate and apply brakes.
According to the Nissan Chief Executive, Hiroto Saikawa:
“If it’s successful, the Leaf will be a major part of the portfolio of Nissan”

Availability and the pricing of the vehicle
At the outset, the vehicle would be available only to Japanese consumers. The expected launch date is 2nd October which is less than a month from now. However, the car would be exported to other countries only after it is made available to the Japanese market. The price of the car is 3.15 million yen (around $29,000).
BBC quoted the VP of global Nissan product planning, Ivan Espinosa to have stated:
“The pricing is flat, yet we have a full model change. You have autonomous drive technology, a new battery, new powertrain. How can this be unattractive to a young customer?”
Do you think Nissan would be able to sell more units of its latest version than the previous one?
