The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) has received as many as 13,000 complaints so far from the citizens of Pakistan about the registration of strangers in their family trees.
NADRA initiated the re-verification drive of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) of 192 million Pakistanis on the order of Interior Minister of Pakistan, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. The process got successful execution from the 1st July 2016 and the outcome from the general public has been receptive until now.
The primary objective behind this exercise is to eradicate all the aliens from the country who are currently living illegally and who carry fake CNIC and passport of Pakistan. This practice will help NADRA to verify only those individuals who are registered in their database. This drill is likely to expose all the strangers and already 13,000 complaints have been received.
This move was triggered after an Afghan Taliban Commander, Mullah Akhtar Mansour, got killer in a drone attack which was executed by the US in the outskirts of Balochistan. Surprisingly, a CNIC and a passport of Pakistani origin were discovered from the site and it prompted Chaudhry Nisar to re-verify all the Pakistan citizens.
Interior Minister of Pakistan has applauded the response of the public in a meeting which was chaired by him and was attended by the Interior Secretary, Special Interior Secretary, Chairman of NADRA and Senior Interior Ministry Officials.
Chaudhry Nisar was also informed about the progress and the development about the drive. He was told that around 400,000 people have checked their family status by sending an SMS to NADRA on their own.

The implementation of this program is aimed at removing aliens from the database. Chaudhry Nisar has already announced 7 years prison for fake CNIC holders in the country. He has also guaranteed a result-oriented campaign without troubling the citizens of Pakistan.
NADRA is also keeping the confidentiality of all the individuals who are making calls to their call center and reporting aliens in their family trees. It would be encouraging to spread the word once you come to know about this campaign.
