Best Innovation Awards 2016: A bridge between industry and education

Best Innovation Awards (BITA) are committed to promote innovation and bolster an IT culture in Pakistan. Frontiers of Information Technology (FIT) conference is organizing this competition. COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) and National Testing Service are the key sponsors of the event.

Considering the growing interest of local entrepreneurs, unique ideas need to be not only acknowledged but also supported. Furthermore, the primary objective behind these awards is to recognize rising talent in this sector.

BITA aims to remove the void between the industry and the education sector to encourage entrepreneurs with novel ideas. It creates opportunities for innovators to bring forward their applications and get a chance to win big prizes. BITA 2016 is inviting all the budding talent of Pakistan including thinkers, innovators, talented students, and professionals. As a result, they can contribute their ideas and win hefty prizes. The winning amount reaches as high as PKR 1 million for the top award category.

Types of Awards

There are primarily two major categories in Best Innovation Awards including Academia and Industry/self-employed. Academia includes students in the IT field along with their faculty members while the second category includes professionals working for the IT industry.

Professionals may include people with worthy contribution to the IT industry either self-employed or working for an IT firm. Self-employed applicants need to reassure that their information is absolutely correct. Academia includes all IT students and their full-time faculty members.

The application process will include validation to ensure the given information is authentic. Therefore, every applicant should provide concrete information regarding their contribution and occupational success.
