Google to visit 9 Pakistani universities later this month

Tech giant Google is coming to Pakistan for the first time ever later this month. The mission of Google is to visit 9 Pakistani universities across different cities where they will motivate the next wave of online publishers as part of their ‘Google for Publishers’ initiative.

Across 11 days, Google will be visiting 9 Pakistani universities from 30th August to 9th September 2016. The tech giant will be reaching out to talented and bright students who are interested in fine-tuning their skills. Students will get to learn about designing, developing and monetizing content for websites and mobile apps during the program.

Who should attend this event and why?

You should not miss this program if you are a writer, blogger, web designer or an app developer.

Throughout the program, Google will introduce you to monetization products, particularly AdSense and AdMob. Moreover, they will also share an overview about their program policies. Google Adsense helps you in making money from your website whereas Admob helps you earn revenue from in-app ads.

Google will explain ways to you in turning your passion into profit. In addition, Google will also share resources to help beginners started with best practices, tools and techniques. This program may well prove to be a kickstarter for you to expand your expertise in the aforementioned areas.

Google will start off their campaign by visiting Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi on 30th August 2016. Further schedule is as following:

1st September: National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NU), Islamabad
2nd September: GIK Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology (GIKI), Topi
5th September: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore
6th September: University of Gujrat (UOG), Gujrat
7th September: University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore
8th September: National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NU), Lahore
9th September: University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore
