Lahore: Registrations are now open for MakerFest Lahore, organized by Information Technology University in collaboration with DIY Geeks. MakerFest Lahore is envisioned as a community-organized event that would showcase locally developed projects that draw inspiration from STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.
The event is scheduled to take place on 28th October 2017 at Arfa Software Technology Park, Lahore that provides a perfect setting for makers from all over Pakistan to show what they are making and share what they are learning. These makers could range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage thinkers. Anyone who shares the passion for innovation and creativity can register for the event as an attendee, startup or as a project. The aim of MakerFest Lahore is to not only provide a perfect platform for Makers to showcase their passionate innovations but this would help the Makers in getting connected with leading local business community and investors from Pakistan to share, inspire and exchange ideas.
Along with the exhibit of innovative products, Makerfest Lahore would also include small curated events that are intended to bring more flavor to the event. By hosting the curated events, the Maker movement will gain footing in Lahore that shall give opportunity to host a similar events in the future
The event is organized by PlanX Technology Accelerator (A project of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in collaboration with DIY Geeks, Makeistan, PITB, MIT Enterprise Forum Pakistan and Information Technology University (ITU)
