Telenor Velocity has extended its deadline for its 2nd batch to 30th August 2016. Earlier the deadline for the submission of applications was 20th July 2016. In the last few days, startup founders from all over the country have been reaching out to Telenor Velocity, requesting to run another round of applications.
While talking to Techjuice, Telenor Velocity said in a statement that there were plenty of requests for the extension. The statement further added:
“Due to extended Eid holidays, a lot of the aspiring startups were unable to meet Telenor Velocity’s application deadline for Cohort 2. In the last few days, startup founders from all over the country have been reaching out to Telenor Velocity, requesting to extend the submission date”
Applications to Cohort 2 at Telenor Velocity are now being re-opened till the 30th August 2016.
Procedure of applying for the 2nd cohort
Application process for the 2nd batch is now open. You need to go their apply page to start submitting your application.
Additionally, your team should have a hipster, a hustler and a hacker, according to the selection criteria mentioned on their page. Moreover, your product or service should be at a minimum viable product stage. Lastly, you should be able to clearly demonstrate the investment potential in your product or service.
The deadline for the submission of application is 30th August 2016.
About Telenor Velocity
In February earlier this year, Pakistani telecom operator Telenor launched its very own accelerator for Pakistani startups. The objective of this initiative is to help startups go to market. They have designed a program around Telenor’s scale and assets to help entrepreneurs grow their companies.
The first cohort of Telenor Velocity is currently in progress. It was started in March 2016 and it would be concluded in September 2016. The first batch received an awesome response. It comprised of startups including doctHERs, EcoEnergy, ForiMazdoori, Interacta and Edjunction.
