7Up brings culinary delight to Karachi

People of Karachi have always been fond of munching on enticing delicacies, be it while perched on rocks at the seaside or in one of the city’s illustrious restaurants. Couple this with a fact that the mild to spicy cuisines heavily influenced by Mughal and Hyderabadi cookery, simply compels one to search for an irresistible refreshing drink and none can be more fulfilling then 7up, a brand of sparkling lemon lime flavoured beverage. Indeed food directly speaks through taste and 7 up doubles this in a unique way with its sparkling and refreshing taste.

As Karachites are always willing to try something new and exciting, this year the brand led a festive campaign of a food festival for all those who admire a hearty meal. With the conception of this foodie’s paradise of two days, the event was held at Frere Hall on 22nd 23rd and 24th January 2016.As 7up has always embraced the joy of savouring a scrumptious meal when it comes to celebrating food, the event officially got entirely sponsored by the company which made it quite a massive occasion.

Since I am a foodie myself especially when it comes to traditional dishes, I could not let miss the opportunity to taste those extraordinary local dishes cooked by talented chefs. On arrival I was amazed to know that not only the quality food but also how the brand had managed to setup such a delightful evening.

With a wide assortment of dishes to choose from, I decided to get into the beeline for the stall selling “Thali with Naan, Sultani Dal and Shahipaneer”. The perfect blend of spices and the signature taste of each curry with tender garlic naans never tasted this better. The delectable flavours were beautifully enhanced with a sip of the bubbly, just enough dominating taste of 7up.  As the dish itself was quite fulfilling, the wondrous drink even helped me digest it sooner, making me feel lighter in no time and therefore ready for the second round of food adventure.

The highlights can be viewed on their Facebook page and their Instagram page.

Utilizing social media marketing strategy for the event, 7up managed to gather all the local food lovers and many from even outside the city. Seeing people come together for this enjoyable festival with their families and friends was itself an incredible experience which is why we expect 7Up to continue spreading happiness among people in such small yet highly significant ways with campaigns in other cities of the country as well.
