Shehbaz Sharif directs PITB to assist Sindh free of cost

Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to assist Sindh free of cost on the direction of Punjab’s Chief Minister, Shehbaz Sharif. Chairman of PITB, Dr. Umar Saif confirmed this development in a statement.

Sindh’s Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah escorted by delegates visited PITB on 5th September. He acknowledged PITB for implementing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) involvements in Sindh which have also empowered the province of Punjab.

CM Sindh was also thoroughly impressed by the tech ventures of PITB. Subsequently, he aimed to replicate and implement similar initiatives in Sindh. In addition, he also lauded PITB for their assistance and facilitation in digitizing Sindh police.

Chief Secretary of Sindh, Siddique Memon earlier this year wrote a letter to the Government of Punjab where he requested to acquire the software for digitizing police in Sindh that was also developed by PITB for Punjab police.

The delegates, who accompanied Murad Ali Shah, also appreciated the efforts of PITB to improve the methods of governance.

The chief minister signed the guest book where he penned down the following statement:

“It was indeed a pleasure to visit PITB and learn about their various initiatives. The Government of Sindh is already in contact with PITB and I am grateful for the help PITB is providing to Sindh Police. There is a lot of room for further cooperation and I am sure that we will collaborate further to learn from PITB and implement these initiatives in Sindh”

Education and Sports Minister of Punjab, Rana Mashood also attended the meeting.

Umar Saif thanked CM Sindh for visiting PITB and presented him a shield as a token of gratitude.
