Bloomberg has recently alleged Apple of permitting the suppliers to make compromises over the accuracy of the iPhone X’s Face ID system. They have claimed that the tech giant has opted for the short cut only to speed up the production of the phone. However, on Wednesday, Apple has rejected Bloomberg’s claim out rightly and has termed it as ‘false’.

Apple, in its recent statement to Reuters, stated:
“Bloomberg’s claim that Apple has reduced the accuracy spec for Face ID is completely false”
The report by Bloomberg, after taking the output of some close sources to the situation, said that to amplify the number of usable dot projectors and accelerate production, Apple went lenient over the quality standards required to maintain the specifications for Face ID.
On 12th September, Apple proclaimed its one-in-a-million accuracy claims for a Face ID. However, Bloomberg did not mention that whether the tech giant relaxed its requirements before or after the announcement.
On the other hand, Apple has confirmed the sale of iPhone X to go as planned, which is due on 3rd November, that too, along with Face ID feature.
The company also added in a statement:
“The quality and accuracy of Face ID haven’t changed. It continues to be 1 in a million probability of a random person unlocking your iPhone with Face ID”

Bloomberg stands by its claims
Even after Apple denied their claims, a spokeswoman of Bloomberg stated that the company is still stands by its report.
It is relevant to mention that the report is believed to have triggered a decrease of 0.7% in Apple shares and it was traded at $155 in midday trading.
