Apple Alarmed As Cases Of iPhone 8 Plus Splitting Up Emerge

After two reported incidents of iPhone 8 Plus splitting up, Apple has decided to investigate the alarming matter. The tech giant is looking to find out the real cause behind the incidents. There has emerged a lot of untoward skepticism about the newly released iPhones soon after the reports became public. Although the real reason behind the product issue is still under covers but the company has clearly taken the matter seriously.

According to a recent report, the two cases complain about the same issue i.e. the phone being split from the casing. The first report came from Taiwan where the user was charging the phone when the casing popped out. The user was using the official power adapter and cable that came along the set. In addition, the phone was in use since 5 days when it suddenly split after a meager 3 minutes of charging.

The second incident was reported from Japan where iPhone had been damaged (split) already before the user took it out from the box for the first time ever.

Bad batch or bad glue?

Some may believe that this may be a heating issue but since there are no burning marks on iPhone 8 Plus sent from Taiwan for investigation, therefore this option can easily be ruled out. The other set from Japan which was already split inside the box suggests that the battery might not be the culprit. A logical explanation hints that there can be a fault in the glue or screws that may have opened after slight exposure to heat.

It is still unclear whether the problem lies within a specific batch of product or there is some error in the design of the product.

For all current the users of iPhone 8 Plus, there is no need to panic and change the set yet. However, it is advisable to monitor the set specially while charging the device. If the set pops out suddenly then the user will hear it but if it splits due to inadequate glue then the casing may come out gradually.
