Blessed are those who think #EveryDayIsMothersDay

Mother’s day is basically held on the 2nd Sunday in the month of May every year in most part of the world. It is also renowned in Pakistan as well because there is hardly any event or occasion that is not celebrated here which is being celebrated all across the world. Having said that, there are worldwide celebrations of mothers and their motherhood and the influence they create on the lives of their children and society for their betterment.

On the eve of Mother’s day, every platform from shops to markets is engulfed with Mother’s card, gifts, offers and special events, fathomably so. Amidst all this, there is a hint of despair in the air. In our part of the world and culture where Mothers are highly regarded and respected, who loves her child with all the flaws, who loves her child as much as she could go beyond any limitations to see her child smile, who loves her child conditionally throughout; do you think one day is mere enough to express our love to Mothers? Kashmir Banaspati thinks not.

Their point is that Mother’s love for her child is eternal and perpetual. One single day out of 365 is just not enough to express our emotions and love for our Mothers. In Kashmir Banaspati’s honest opinion, every day of the year should be celebrated as a Mother’s day. A social experiment was also conducted in this regard to get this point across that #EveryDayIsMothersDay. Please to look at the following video:

There were some interesting responses from the individuals. Some bake cake for their Mothers and present her gifts on this day while some of them take their Mothers out to dinner to make them feel special. Similarly few of them bake cookies whereas some people offer flowers and take their Mothers to ride. Interestingly, when the same bunch of individuals was asked if one day is enough to celebrate Mother’s day, there were some heart-wrenching reactions. There was pin-drop silence. There was sarcastic smile. There were plenty of hmmm, ooohhhss and aahhhs. Few answered that one day is definitely not enough. One individual was of the view that his day is incomplete if he doesn’t see her mom.

All in all it was a great campaign from Kashmir Banaspati who did a fairly great job at conduction social experimentation and raising the awareness among individuals regarding this subject. Many would now feel and they should be that indeed one day is just not enough to express our love, affection, gratitude to our Mothers. Instead the day should be celebrated every day since Mother’s love for her child is everlasting and that they should be appreciated and praised for taking care of their children. So, what is your take about this? Are you going to wait for that one day where you will have to be nice to your mother or have your changed your mind and now believe that everyday should be mother’s day and that they should be treated in the same manner all across the year every single day. Do let us know if you feel #EveryDayIsMothersDay.
