In the wake of recent suicide bombing in Lahore, the taxi companies Careem & Uber have stepped up to give free rides to those willing to donate blood to the blasts’ victims.
Yesterday, a suicide bomber blew up in Lahore’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal park, killing nearly 70 people and injuring over 200. As a result, there is a dire need for blood and Careem has stepped up to make it easier for people who are willing to do so.
With Pakistani social media users uniting behind the hashtag #PrayForLahore, calls for blood donations are meanwhile being picked up by companies like Careem & Uber who are helping the citizens of Lahore do some positive good for the society without having to pay any travel fee.
