Google hosts Shahid Afridi in Singapore!

Boom Boom Afridi is making waves in the tech world as he becomes the first Pakistani sportsman to be hosted by Google’s Singapore office.

The star cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi recently attended a luncheon hosted in his honour by Google here at their headquarters on Monday where he introduced his welfare organization Shahid Afridi Foundation and its new project ‘Hope Not Out’ to wow the Googlers from India and Pakistan.

The cricket, who is known for having a pro Kashmir stance, recently came under heat on social media as he tweeted against the brutality of India in Kashmir and made open and vocal comments but here we see that he is out on a message of peace to bring India and Pakistan together through technology.

Afridi praised the sight of Pakistani & Indian youth working together to make a difference in the world of technology and also met several business leaders of Singapore & corporate professionals at an exclusive dinner for awareness. He also thanked Nasarullah Khan, High Commissioner to Singapore.

His iconic picture under the Pakistan and Indian flag gives us hope that technology might after all be able to bring peace to both countries.
