Google processes billions of search requests every year, it’s the undisputed Khidr of the cyber world. On December 14, the search engine giant released a report revealing the most popular search queries of 2016. The annual report brings to surface many insights into the insatiable inquisitive side of us Pakistanis. Many of the results, show the national trends, trending topics and other events that caught the public attention on the national front.
The word “trending” means that these words held particular resonance on internet in 2016 as compared to 2015. Below, check out 10 of the most searched personalities by Pakistanis in 2016. As a nation with flourishing entertainment channels, little surprise there that the search terms have been dominated by media personalities. However, the sad fact remains that quite a few of these searches were triggered posthumous.
