Higher Education Vision 2025 will be shared very soon

To endorse its pledge towards a developing Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan has decided to achieve different goals in the educational sector. The government declared that the Higher Education Vision 2025 will be shared soon with the general public.

An interactive discussion gathering was held on the Higher Education Vision 2025 with Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed as the chief guest. Dawn reported that Ahsan Iqbal, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms declared that the draft on the Higher Education Vision 2025 is almost complete and will be briefed soon enough.

A developing change in the ‘vision’ of education

Ahsan Iqbal also discussed some unified details in the meeting and emphasized the importance of arts education. He shared that the basis of education is being turned from STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields to the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) fields. He further said that in order to promote the study of social sciences across the country, government will be starting an institute.

Mukhtar Ahmed confirmed and assured that HEC had already reconstructed its goals according to the vision. These goals are set up in the light of national development. Ahsan Iqbal added that in the coming 10 years, 10,000 Pakistani scholars will be sent for higher study to the United States to play its part in the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor.

Higher Education Vision 2025 aims to achieve its required set of goals in the coming years over 2025. This particular manuscript will provide directions to strengthen the educational sector. It will also help the government to concentrate on the desired achievement in education. To keep up with the ongoing development and innovation in the educational sector it is important to act upon these directions.
