It’s impossible to prove whether Google actually holds onto all of this information, but there’s a good argument that since they have access to it, they probably use it.

If Google uses its users’ data to earn money, then they probably deserve it. Because most of Google’s users use its services for free, and these services made people’s lives better.
But if American agencies have access to Google’s data and they use it to gain more control over the world and manipulate people to fulfill their agenda, then that seems to be a problem.
