Hult Prize offers mammoth $1 million for social entrepreneurship program designed by Pakistani students

Hult Prize is a worldwide entrepreneurship challenge which is open for everyone. It is also one of the top five innovative ideas to change the world. This idea was given by President Bill Clinton and TIME Magazine. Universities and institutes from Pakistan have been invited to host this million dollar Hult Prize challenge event.

The Hult Prize 2017 Case Challenge is: “Refugees – Reawakening Human Potential.” The winner of the challenge will be awarded $1 million.

This challenge is related to the students of Pakistan who are capable of drawing the social entrepreneurship programs to relate the refugee crisis in Pakistan. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan is having the third largest refugee population. Therefore, they have an outside advantage to win the challenge.

About Social Entrepreneurship

Investors from the US and other developed countries are looking forward to invest heavily in this social event ($46 billion estimated by JPMorgan in 2014). Silicon Valley’s technology stalwarts (Zuckerberg, etc) are also diverting towards the representations of social enterprise. Even Michael Porter (Porter’s 5 Forces), the founder of Monitor group, Harvard, is now completely focused on reconsidering profit products and services to improve customer outcomes (social enterprise).

Yet this billion dollar quest opportunities are brought up here in Karachi, Mumbai, Shanghai, Beirut, Athens, Astana, Brasilia, Accra and many others. These nations were selected for their struggle against the world’s economic and social match. In order to fulfill the basic necessities of education, food and care, they face high challenges to overcome them. Therefore, they are being provided with the greatest opportunities to boost up their market.
