KP Announces Establishing An IT Board To Harness Innovation And Technology

Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak has announced in a statement the establishment of an IT Board by the KP government. The aim of the Information Technology Board will be to enable youth in understanding the full potential of IT innovations. The chief minister also underlined that the government completely understands the importance of technology.

The announcement from the CM came at the inaugural ceremony of a seminar to create awareness about future impact of Information Technology.

KPK to Lead through Human Resource Development

Chief Minister Khattak highlighted that the best way to boost economic development of a region is to create and promote trained human resources. He expressed his gratitude in being invited to the seminar and stated that quality human resource development remains the number one priority for his government.

The chief minister was briefed about the tremendous opportunities that IT has opened up for the modern day youth. The seminar also presented that through IT, individuals staying at home can become part of the labor force. One of the key complaints against working women in the local regional culture, remains women stepping out of their homes to find jobs. IT innovations can now help women to easily work from home and contribute towards the betterment of the economy.

CM acknowledged the fact that an infrastructure gap remains between potential opportunities and their full utilization. KP government has maintained a strong education policy and moved towards creating new educational institutes in the region. The province has also expressed the desire to invest more in Higher education and create more skillful people.

KP to Become Investor Friendly for IT Projects

CM ensured that better infrastructure will be put in place for using potential IT innovation opportunities. He explained that the government has already put in action plans to help establish local leadership in IT innovation. Investors in IT sector will be encouraged and will be helped by the local government as well.

The IT board will help not only the investors but the youth in the region looking for a better future. In his concluding remarks he told the youth to step up and utilize the opportunities that will be created. KP will become investor and IT friendly, he concluded.
