Lahore Science Mela 2017 – Lahori Culture and Science

In 2017, a Science Mela will be conducted in Lahore under the name of “Lahore Science Mela”. It will be conducted by Khwarizmi Science Society which is a non-profit organization in the vicinity of Lahore. The Mela will be focused on science and its applications along with a little mix of Lahori culture.

The event will be held at Ali Institute of Education in Lahore, on 28 January 2017 and will last for two days. It is an open-for-all event which will give everybody a chance to explore the fun side of science as the event will combine science with the culture of the city of Lahore. The festival will conduct different programs such as Human Health, Meet the Scientists etc.

This Science Mela will be a unique science festival in the history of Lahore. Even though science has made a mark in our lives, it’s still thriving to make a mark in our society. Science has been looked down upon by the students and the public as a laborious and boring educational field. The Science Mela will make sure to turn the views of the people around as it will give people an opportunity to explore the fun and knowledge science offers.

The word “Mela” always brings up joy and attraction in our mind and as this event will add a spoon of science to it. Moreover, it will prove effective as it will change the public’s way of thinking towards science by looking at the lighter side of it and thinking of it as something enjoyable and not as something that is just a boring, educational field.

Scientists, doctors, engineers, innovators, and educators from all over Pakistan are welcome to join the event not only for attending the event but also to participate as sponsors, volunteers, and exhibitors.
