With a $100,000 Prize Money, Microsoft’s Imagine Cup Is Back In Pakistan

Microsoft and HEC have again decided to bring the Microsoft’s Imagine Cup to Pakistan. Microsoft’s Imagine Cup is an initiative launched by Microsoft in 2003. Its aim is to let students from all around the world explore technology and share their ideas and perspectives regarding how the world can be revolutionized through technology.

It’s been 10 years since Microsoft Imagine Cup was started in Pakistan. It provides an opportunity to the students and youth of Pakistan to bring their ideas and innovations in front of the world. There are different prizes for winners including $100,000 for first place holders. Furthermore, other prizes include an Azure grant, cash, and mentorship opportunities with technology experts. Microsoft’s Imagine Cup is a sure way of taking your projects and ideas to the next level.

However, Microsoft Azure – an open cloud computing platform, will be required for all projects.

Registration Procedure

If you are willing to enter the competition, here’s how:

Before going for the national level, the teams will compete at regional level. There will be judges from both sides i.e. HEC and the Microsoft industry. The winners will be decided on the basis of their submitted projects. Each project should include:

The projects will be judged on the basis of the technology offered. Those teams qualifying the regional level will compete at the national level in Pakistan.
