Nokia has finally released its new flagship phone, the Nokia 8 and this device is set to compete with other high-end phones. The phone has everything you’ll expect from a flagship device; camera, storage, memory, and of course, the price of a flagship phone.
Before the Nokia 8, the company released three more smartphones to let everyone know that Nokia is in the game. However, none of these phones delivered a flagship experience, until now.
Below are the revealed specs for the phone:
Design
The phone possesses a unibody with high gloss mirror finish. Nokia has claimed the body undergoes 40 processes to achieve that distinct look. However, the phone is not bezel-less and is pretty much the same in design as the previous ones.
Display
The Nokia 8 comes with a 5.3-inch screen which comes in handy as it is easy to hold and use. Equipped with an IPS LCD panel, the phone provides a QHD display of 2560×1440 pixels with bright and natural colors.
The device also possesses Ozo Audio technology which enables the device to capture 360-degree audio thanks to the presence of three mics inside.
RAM, Storage, and OS
The phone is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest and most advanced processor, the Snapdragon 835 along with an Adreno 450 GPU. To make things even better and smooth, the phone hosts a 4GB RAM to handle all that multitasking and processing.
It also has two variants and as one comes with 4GB of RAM, the other comes with 6GB RAM. However, the 6GB variant will only be available in glossy blue color.
The phone will have a 64 GB storage for the 4GB variant while the 6GB variant will have 128 GB of storage.
The phone is packed with the latest version of Android which is the Android Nougat 7.1.1 and it will also support the upcoming Android O update.
Camera
A 13mp front camera with two 13mp sensors for the back camera, Nokia 8 will be able to capture RGB as well as Black and White with its two 13mp sensors. All of the cameras having an aperture of f/2.0 are Carl Zeiss branded.
Another feature the camera has to offer is the ‘Bothie’ feature which captures photos from the front as well as the back and combines them into one picture.
Battery
With Quick Charge 3.0 and pre-enable fast charging, the phone is powered with a 3,090mAh battery.
Price
The price for the phone starts at €599 or Rs75,000. The phone is available in 4 colors; Polished Blue, Polished Copper, Tempered Blue and Steel.
