About CTTI
Previously known as Construction Machinery Training Centre (CMTC), CTTI came into existence in 1986. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) played a vital role in establishing CTTI in Pakistan. CMTC was well-known for its training center for construction machinery. However, it also started to offer some other courses later and subsequently it was named as Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI) in 1992.
Jamil Ahmed also claimed that CTTI now offers courses including training, vocational and diploma in different fields including automobile, civil, diesel and mechanical. As far as provincial seats are concerned, CTTI follows government allocated quota.
Japan has provided huge number of machinery to the institute, as claimed by the director of CTTI. Moreover, the institute also has the reputation of producing some useful and bright engineers who are currently rendering their services in several national and international organizations.
