The technology solution provider of PTCL, Inbox Business Technologies (IBT) and a Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) company, Viptela have collaborated to install SD-WAN infrastructures for service providers and businesses in Pakistan.
By teaming up with Viptela as its first PTCL customer, IBT has inked Pakistan’s principal contract in terms of telecommunication service provider.
By signing the partnership agreement, the SD-WAN platform of Viptela will allow IBT to syndicate private and public IP connections. These networks include broadband, Ethernet, LTE, MPLS and wireless. The permission from Viptela will allow Inbox Business Technologies to meet the necessary requirements based on bandwidth, geographic location and topology needs.
Viptela will deliver following proficiencies to IBT for implementing WANs:
1. Virtualized WAN services at a 50% lower cost besides 10x more bandwidth and 5x higher voice and cloud performance than alternatives.
2. Centralized management will have the rights to deploy changes in service policies within minutes.
3. Application performance and service availability will enable informed decisions on resource utilization and application tuning.
4. Resilient security and network encryption.
5. Service-chaining: Enables add-on L4 – L7 services including WAN optimization, firewalls and data leak prevention.
