PTCL has become the first telecommunication operator in Pakistan to ink a collaboration agreement with Netflix for the Pakistan market. Under the agreement, Netflix in partnership with PTCL will penetrate its services in Pakistan. In addition, both PTCL and Netflix will look to utilize their individual resources for mutual benefit besides maximizing and augmenting the viewing experience of the public.
The contract between the two companies will benefit the users in Pakistan at large. It will also serve as a way forward to provide digital content in the country with the streaming of Netflix. It is worth mentioning that PTCL will promote and encourage original firsthand Netflix content in Pakistan.
Since Netflix’s global launch earlier this year, PTCL becomes the only service provider in the country with progressive caching servers and technical pairing. This will have a serious impact in terms of superior viewing experience.

While speaking on the agreement, Vice President Business Development for Asia at Netflix, Tony Zameczkowski stated:
“We are excited to partner with PTCL in Pakistan and are looking forward to providing high quality entertainment content for the Pakistani consumers”
PTCL’s Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Shahid while commenting on the agreement said:
“Digital entertainment is PTCL’s key priority and our partnership with Netflix is another step in this direction. We look forward to working with Netflix to offer new and exciting services including world class Netflix original series and movies in Pakistan”
