Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, on Monday, officially inaugurated the Report Corruption application, that too, on an International Anti-Corruption Day. Pakistan’s maiden anti-graft mobile application will enable the general public to directly report any sort of corruption to the concerned authorities using the app. The notion of this application is to curb the menace of growing corruption in the country.
While addressing the audience, PM Imran Khan said:
“The initiative of the Anti-Corruption Establishment is appreciable and the officials should appraise the people regarding the new application”
Also present on the occasion, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Anti-Corruption, Barrister Shahzad Akbar said that the provincial government would be aiming to digitize the entire anti-corruption department.

Process of lodging a complaint
The procedure is quite simple if the following steps are taken:
- Download the application – Report Corruption – from Google Play Store
- Once downloaded, the app will display four different windows
- Attach the evidence [in the form of documents, images and videos]
- Select your district
- Enter your CNIC
- Add your contact number
- Insert your full name
- Provide all the necessary details
You can also hide your identity if you don’t want to disclose it by ‘clicking’ on Hide My Identity. Later, you can submit the application by tapping on to the yellow button.
Following China’s example
During his speech, PM Imran Khan gave the example of China that how number of people have been sent to jails purely on the corruption charges. Moreover, he also talked about Chile, Iraq, Lebanon and few other countries by citing how their people came onto the streets against corruption.
It is pertinent to mention that China sent as many as 400 ministers behind the bars on the corruption charges. PM Imran Khan added:
“This is the reason why the president of China is popular among people”
PM Imran Khan also said that the youth of Pakistan is pivotal in the success of Pakistan. He said:
“Although Naya Pakistan is in the making, the dream will come true only when the youth participate in the process and chase the looters”
By launching Report Corruption app, the drive to curb corruption will get a boost since anybody would be able to report it.
