TiE Lahore organizes session for tech startups and angel investors on legal understanding

TiE Lahore Chapter conducted a session on ‘Legal Eagles – Navigating the Legal Path’ yesterday at Lahore University of Modern Sciences (LUMS). The session was primarily hosted for angel investors and tech startups.

Objective of the program

The mission of the session was to bring awareness among startups and investors about the legal issues for startups. Moreover, the program also covered exciting perspective like laws governing the angel investment business in Pakistan. The event also covered best international practices for startups and angel investors.

Saad Rasool was the keynote speaker of the program. He is a lawyer by profession and currently situated in Lahore. He writes columns on judicial and policy matters. In addition, he is a lecturer. Saad has also rendered his services as the vice president in the global structured finance and investment-banking group of Merrill Lynch in New York.

Hira Arif served the duties as the moderator at the program. By profession, she is a legal consultant and an HR manager at TXB and Lajwanti. Besides, she is also the founder of the startup known as E-Panchayat.

President of TiE Lahore Chapter, Humayun Mazhar also graced the occasion with his presence. While addressing the audience, he shared the future roadmap for the chapter.

The session was concluded on a high note. There was an active participation from the relevant circles such as academia, accelerators, incubators and startup founders. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the session by lauding the efforts and they really appreciated the initiative taken by TiE Lahore.
