During the month of March 2022, Toyota Indus Motor Company registered a record sales of colossal 7,132 units. By achieving this very target, Toyota surpassed its own record when it sold as many as 7,001 units in October last year. It is significant to state that Toyota has broken their own streak of selling more units for the third time during last 8 months.
According to Toyota Indus Motor Company, the record-breaking numbers during the last month is the highest ever since the company began its operation back in 1993. It is staggering that despite unhealthy economy, depreciation in rupee and increased prices in the car’s value, Toyota still managed to shatter all the records.

Toyota Indus Motor sneaks past its competitors
Primarily, the reason of this outstanding accomplishment is company’s commitment to faster delivery time. As per the industry experts, the automobile company is flying high largely because of greater demand.
To meet the growing demand of the customers, Toyota’s delivery time is quite faster in comparison to its competitors. Reportedly, the delivery time of Honda City is close to 4 months. On the other hand, Changan Alsvin’s is getting delivered around the same time period. However, Toyota takes as low as 2 months to gain attraction among the masses. Moreover, Toyota Yaris has gained immense popularity too of late and this is also one of the reasons in company’s astounding numbers.
Moving forward
Despite intensified and improved numbers, Toyota is of the view that the car sales will take a hit in the upcoming months.
The CEO of Toyota Indus Motor Company, Ali Asghar Jamali, while reviewing the quarterly performance last month stated:
“Amid the mounting pressures of global logistical challenges, increasing freight costs, and depreciating local currency, the price hikes are unavoidable”
Furthermore, he also projected that the sales volume is likely to decline by 15 to 20% in the next couple of years. The foremost reason of this claim is that the prices are going to increase which could effectively initiate lesser demand. In addition, he affirmed that Toyota is keen to maintain consistency when it comes to pricing by moving towards localization.
It remains to be seen whether the claims made by the CEO are going to have any impact on the purchasing power of the individuals in the coming months.
