Twitter erroneously suspended its own CEO’s account

It is literally hard to suspend an account of CEOs on Facebook and Twitter, isn’t it? It is NOT actually. In a latest revelation today, the account of Twitter’s founder and CEO, Jack Dorsey was suspended.

This is not the first time Twitter, or, for that matter Facebook or any other platform has come into the limelight for removing or suspending contents. Not too long ago, Facebook also removed and suspended several account of celebrities who raised their voice about the atrocities in Indian occupied Kashmir. The founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg’s account was marked dead earlier this month. However, it was a technical glitch which has not been solved.

Rumors about suspending

It doesn’t matter what internal error caused the suspension of Jack Dorsey, the person responsible for committing the error might lose his job. Plenty of people speculated that CEO’s Twitter account might have been hacked. Subsequently, it was later suspended before reinstating it. Even if his account was defaced, the hacker might actually have reported Jack’s account.

Most of the people said that the Twitter account of Jack was reported by ample amount of users since he was alleged to be an owner of some child pornography website and that he used to ban people who informed about it to others. It is pertinent to mention that these are just speculations and should NOT be taken as a fact.

Jack’s Twitter account got reinstated

The official Twitter account of CEO Jack Dorsey was reinstated some time later after getting suspended. Jack tweeted about the restoration in the following tweet:

TechCrunch reported that Jack’s account was locked for 2 to 3 hours. On the other hand, The Verge reported it as being short for only 15 minutes.

Twitter did not release any official statement of this mishap. Neither did they clarify the problem that caused the suspension of Jack’s account. According to the CEO himself as evident in his aforementioned tweet, it was an internal error.
