Vision 2025 opens nominees for Young Development Leader Awards 2016

On the second anniversary of Vision 2025, the ministry of planning, development and reform has announced Young Development Leader Award. The nominees for the awards are also open. The deadline for the submission of form is 4th August 2016.

A panel of high dignities will reward individuals. Winners would be selected on the basis of their contribution towards the achievements of goals as mentioned in Vision 2025.

According to the advert that was posted on the official website of ministry of planning, development and reform, it stated:

“On the occasion of the 2nd Anniversary of the Vision 2025, we are recognizing outstanding Pakistani development leaders, who have demonstrated exemplary performance with high impact in the fields critical for realization of the Vision 2025 goals”

You are more than welcome if you have made noteworthy contribution in any of the following field(s):

• Agriculture
• Arts and Culture
• Community Service
• Education
• Energy
• Engineering
• Entrepreneurship
• Health
• Industry
• Information Technology
• Innovation and Social Sustainability
• Science and Technology

Eligibility criteria

One should bear the following points before submitting your application:

1- Download the nomination form from www.pc.gov.pk
2- Your age should be 40 years or less
3- Nominations are welcomed with a citation of not more than 200 words
4- Females and minorities are encouraged to apply for the nominations
5- You can also nominate any individual who according to you has made significant impact
6- You can submit the nomination form at awards@pc.gov.pk

4th August 2016 is the last date for the submission of the forms.

About Vision 2025

Pakistan Vision 2025 came into existence couple of years ago and it is designed to represent an ambitious destination. It serves as a critical guide-post for the development of an effective strategy and road-map to reach national goals and aspirations. Moreover, it is also the foundation for change and transformation that aims at creating new opportunities.

The vision dictated goals for the government to achieve in the next 10 years to be globally relevant in terms of economy, sustainability and various other criteria. There are actually seven pillars of Vision 2025.

1- Putting people first: developing human and social capital
2- Achieving sustained, indigenous and inclusive growth
3- Governance, institutional reform and modernization of the public sector
4- Energy, water and food security
5- Private sector-led growth and entrepreneurship
6- Developing a competitive knowledge economy through value addition
7- Modernization of transportation infrastructure and greater regional connectivity
