What does it certify?
Like every other certification program, this exam will also certify that you have a certain set of skills. Google states that possessing this certificate will show that you have “a demonstrated ability to build and optimize high-quality sites, and allows you to promote yourself as a Google accredited mobile site developer.”
The major part of the study guide is focused on increasing site speed. According to detailed analysis made by Google, it has been shown that a user usually leaves a site if it takes more than three seconds to load. However, the average loading time for a web page is about 22 seconds and if a person leaves the page after the first three seconds of properly loading it, it is obvious that the person won’t click on any of the Google Ads and this is surely not beneficial to Google.

Web Based Project
It should be taken in to account that the program is not actually focused solely on a certain operating system such as Android or iOS. Instead, it is based on Google’s own Accelerated Mobile Pages project. Regardless of the fact that it is Google’s own personal project, other organizations are ready to support it.
This new certification program is quite similar to the AdWords and Analytics program. It takes up a little bit of content from both of these certifications. However, the AdWords certificate is a little more complex and deep as compared to this one as the AdWord certificate requires you to pass more than one exam.
