Apple has made a significant change in the design of newly-launched iPhone 8 and it has been the talk of the town: the glossy glass back. Consequently, plenty of users may not like this Apple’s design because the glass back is easily breakable and it could cost the users more money than they would like to think.
In a latest news release Apple has confirmed just that. Apple has announced that the glass back will essentially be three times more costly than the front repairing. The cost of the front panel will be $30 to repair. However, under the Apple Care+, the glass back panel will appear in the ‘other damage’ category and it will cost $99 for both variants i.e. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

Handle your Apple iPhone 8 with care
It would be extremely pivotal to use Apple iPhone 8 with much care and diligence. At the outset, you have to have an Apple Care+ subscription in order to qualify for repairing your phone for 2 years. The cost of Apple Care+ itself is $129 and $149 for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus respectively. If you accidentally do break the glass back, then the repairing will cost you almost as much as getting a good Android phone.
It is important to state that Apple Care+ will repair your phone only twice; initially for $29 for the screen while $99 for other damages. Thereafter, you will then be required to pay $349 and $399 for the repairing of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus respectively. If you still manage to break your phone glass for the third time, then it would be more feasible for you to replace it with an Android phone.

There is still no word on how much the screen of iPhone X will cost for repairing. However, it is most likely that Apple will charge more than the regular $30 for the screen as its screen is bigger and may well be limited in terms of supply.
