Hacker group OurMine has defaced several Facebook accounts belonging to one of the most watched American satellite TV channel, CNN.

OurMine is now a recognized hacking group that hacks Facebook and Twitter accounts, websites and other credentials of individuals and companies. Moreover, the group does not spare celebrities too as it hacks their personal accounts as well.

CNN – The Latest Victim

It is significant to mention that OurMine always leaves a message once it discovers security loopholes in a certain website or a specific account. It was no different this time either, as they repeated the very same exercise once they hacked CNN’s Facebook accounts.

After hacking several accounts, OurMine left a message along with its logo. The message read:

“Hey, it’s OurMine we are just testing your security, please contact us for more information”

In addition, the group also left an email address along with a link to the website’s group should anyone need to contact them.

Facebook Retrieves Accounts 30 Minutes After The Incident

As soon as the CNN accounts were hacked, Facebook restored all the social media accounts after 30 minutes. Moreover, Facebook also erased all the messages which were posted by the group.

None of the news network’s Instagram or Twitter accounts were compromised during the cyber-attack and they remain unaffected.

This is not the first time OurMine has defaced social media accounts. Not too long ago, the group hacked Netflix’s Twitter account. Additionally, they also hacked numerous Twitter accounts of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) group on Saturday.
