P@SHA ICT Awards 2014 – 11th Year of Marvelous Recognition & Massive Honor

The highly commendable and much awaited P@SHA ICT Awards 2014 had been capturing social media’s high-end spotlight for quite some time. The Award Ceremony was held on November 15, 2014 at Morvenpick Hotel, Karachi to recognize the Software and Service Applications Development companies of Pakistan.

Since the ceremony is always attended by distinguished personalities from the Tech Industry of Pakistan, the 11th P@SHA ICT Awards ceremony focused to open numerous doors for establishing networks and creating business alliances. The aim was to collaborate with participating companies and increase exposure to investment opportunities. That’s why it was the perfect time for P@SHA to make its incubation program official.

P@SHA’s initiative to organize P@SHA ICT Award every year from the past 10 years has ignited the flame of creativity, innovation and excellence in the ICT sector of Pakistan.

This year had 128 nominations for 17 product and 15 service categories with each product or service to be nominated for only one category. A company could participate in a number of categories provided that they each entry is unique.

The Much Awaited – THE NEST I/O

With an aim to help young people achieve their dreams, much to everyone’s attention was the super secret collaboration between P@SHA and Google that marked the special announcements for the launch of – the very 1st partnership of its kind across the globe by Samsung.

Google experience and knowledge combined with Samsung –“Perfect partnership” says Jehan Ara.

She further mentioned:

The Nest i/o is not just for entrepreneurs from Karachi, but also for those from rest of  Sindh like Hyderabad & Sukker.

Badar Kushnood extended his appreciation for Jehan Ara’s initiative to materialize the NEST in Pakistan.

And Finally the Special Announcement…

As Google’s first on-ground investment in Pakistan, will partner up with 28 TechHub incubators across the globe forging partnerships with many international organizations. With a staggering $1.372 Million in total funding supported by Google, Samsung and US Department of State, P@SHA will launch its technology incubator in Karachi in a few weeks.
