Building upon its portfolio of creating and assembling employment opportunities for the educated youth of the country, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has come forth with another novel achievement: Punjab Jobs Online. This is a centralized job portal for all jobs run under the domain of Government of Punjab.
Purpose
The online platform is a single stop search engine developed specifically to entertain the demands of the digital age. Developed with seamless integration of technology, at this the portal one can:
- Professional Identification: Create an online resume and make it available to all the Government Departments
- Discover Government Jobs: Search for all the provincial Government jobs
- Apply on the Go: Apply online for all the available jobs with a single click
The Chief minister of Punjab, Mian Shehbaz Sharif in his message at the launch of the Punjab Jobs Online portal said:
“I am a firm believer of modernizing and bringing excellency in our government workings. Job portal is a step towards fair & just recruitment process across the Punjab Government. It will not only streamline & digitize provisional hiring process, but also ensure that everyone is given equal opportunity to qualify for provisional jobs. I wish you best of luck with your application.”
As of today, at the day of its launch, the platform has 323 Government Departments listed at its domain. There are 24 job vacancies currently available to be occupied under the listed departments. 1851 candidates have thus far registered themselves at the portal. This number of registered candidates in itself is a proof of how welcome this initiative taken by PITB has been among the youth.

Before Punjab Jobs Online, PITB’s E-Rozgaar Has Made Its Mark As Well
It was in June this year that PITB launched an employment portal for the young professionals under the banner of E-Rozgaar program. Developed as a platform to provide online jobs to selected candidates by extending technical and non-technical training, the program emerged as a joint project of PITB and Youth Affairs, Sports, Archeology & Tourism (YASAT).
