Mobile hotspot facility is becoming increasingly resourceful for travellers who wish to remain connected. With the emergence of 5G, Netgear’s new pocket-friendly Nighthawk M5 5G Wifi 6 Mobile Router has the potential to replace your entire home wifi equipment.
As 5G has the capability to give high-end download speeds at 2 Gigabits per second, it can theoretically deliver everything from streaming 4k content to online gaming.
The features on Nighthawk M5 Mobile Router are standard on most hotspots such as dedicated touchscreen LCD to display settings, connection status and data usage. Other hotspots, however, cannot connect to next-generation 5G networks. Wifi 6 devices promise seamless performance with minimum issues.
Netgear aims to position Nighthawk M5 as an alternate to wired home internet systems. It includes a removable rechargeable battery and a gigabit ethernet port to connect to a dedicated wifi router.
The Nighthawk M5 will be available for sale in the second half of 2020. Pricing isn’t known yet. It would ultimately depend on the availability of a 5G carrier in your area.
