Traveling will now be easier with Modobag riding suitcase

Have you ever had the pain of carrying your heavy suitcase around the airport? Did you ever need the assistance of porters to carry your heavyweight luggage at the airport? If the answer to these questions is yes then you needn’t worry since Modobag has made a solid comeback.

Modobag is the world’s first motorized and rideable luggage which will support you at the airport. It will take you at the desired location around the airport region three times faster than you can on foot. In a nutshell, you can drive yourself to anywhere on the suitcase.

The weight of the suitcase is 8.6 Kilogram, understandably so since it has a motor installed inside it. Modobag fulfills the requirements of most airlines for carry-on luggage. Remarkably, it also conforms to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Arrangement (TSA), UN and International Air Transport Association (IATA) rules.

The wheels of the riding suitcase are quite expensive. It will cost $995 to be one of the first to receive the Modobag.

According to Modobag, you can ride a suitcase at the top speed of 8 mph. However, there’s an indoor setting specifically for airports that keeps the suitcase at a maximum speed of 5 mph. This facility, however, is to give a sense of relief to the customers. Participation in any form of racing at the airport is strongly discouraged.

The suitcase can cover a distance of more than 6 miles when it is charged completely. The usual time for the suitcase to get charged fully is roughly less than an hour. However, charging to 80% takes about 15 minutes.

It is highly recommended to avoid using your smartphones while driving a suitcase.

History of Modobag

The world wasn’t prepared for the riding suitcase when two college friends and founders, Kevin O’Donnell and Boyd Bruner, made an attempt to campaign this attention-grabbing creation last year at a Kickstarter. Nobody displayed any interest but that did not cease the duo to raise the money. They are now back with a campaign on Indiegogo that has already raised $23,865 of their $50,000 goal.

Are you a frequent traveler? If so then do you wish to have this little beauty in your kitty?
