Enterprise Caseflow Management System Introduced at Punjab Judicial Academy

The launch of ECMS (Enterprise Caseflow Management System) at Punjab Judicial Academy has been a monumental step in the series of digital reforms introduced to the state system. With the new system there would be no change of hearing date, a usual delay tactic employed in legal proceedings. Such reforms would help in ensuring cases become more transparent while being efficiently disposed on a timely basis. In the next phase, such changes would be introduced to district and sessions courts as well.

In his remarks during the grand inaugural ceremony launching the system, Dr Umar Saif, Chairman PITB stated:

“The corruption free roll out of the holistic judicial system, Enterprise Caseflow Management System (ECMS), dreamed up by the Bar and Bench and developed according to their requirements by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) is bound to deliver successful results.”

Dr. Saif further added that with the launch of this ECMS, an inclusive judicial system has been established for legal processes, which includes case filing, hearing, adjustments, and evidence of cases, cause list, calendaring and the disposal of court cases.
