The holy month of Ramadan has kicked off in all parts of the world. However, being in Pakistan, there is always this curiosity whether the timings of fast in Pakistan are the longest. Nonetheless, in this article, we will be finding out which country has the longest and shortest fasting hours during Ramadan 2019.

Longest and shortest fasting hours

A city in Russia (Murmansk) takes the lead of the longest fasting hours and it will be for colossal 20 hours and 45 minutes. On the other hand, Argentina’s city: Ushuala, will be observing the shortest fasting hours for mere 11 hours. There will be darkness in Russia’s Murmansk for as little as 3 hours and 15 minutes. Later, the sun will rise again at 01:41 AM. On the other hand, the sun rises at 06:57 AM and it sets at 05:57 PM.

According to Gulf News, the timings of prayers were taken into consideration between Fajr and Maghrib to assess the longest and shortest fasting hours.

Fasting hours around the world

The duration of fast in Islamabad would be 15 hours and 21 minutes. On the other side, Dubai will be observing the fast for 14 hours and 39 minutes. Cape Town would be observing the fast for 12 hours and 4 minutes while the length of the fast in London would be 17 hours and 51 minutes.

It is pertinent to mention that all these aforementioned times are taken into consideration for the first day of Ramadan. Afterwards, there would be very little changes (+/- 1 minute or no change for 29/30 days) in the timetable depending upon the region.
