Prynt’s New Prynt Pocket Can Now Print Moving-Images

In the past few years, printing photos from your phone has been a quite fun activity. With the arrival of AR (Augmented Reality), things are about to get a lot more interesting. Almost a year ago, a small mobile printer was released by a company; Prynt. Recently, the company released its latest product, a pocket printer for mobile. Known by the name of Prynt Pocket, the device brings a whole new dimension of AR photography by printing moving-images, like the ones you see in Harry Potter.

How does it work?

Here’s how it works:

  • Firstly, the user will capture a live photo from his/her phone.
  • When the user selects that photo to print, the Prynt App will automatically upload the live photo to its cloud
  • After this, whenever a person using the Prynt App will scan the photo you captured, the live photo or video will be overlaid on top of it using AR

Moreover, whenever someone else uses the same app while trying to activate your printed photo, you’ll immediately get a notification. The invention of this AR photography will really brighten up the mobile printing industry.

The size of the new Prynt Pocket is half the size of its older version. With a price tag of $149.99, the new Prynt Pocket prints faster and provides a sliding dock to provide flexibility for all mobile phones. The reduced size of the device will come in handy if you are a frequent user and like to take it wherever you go.

As the Prynt startup is a relatively new player in this field, having its hardware and software to run in perfect coordination is quite commendable. For all new startups, there is a little bit connectivity or hardware issues, however, that is not the case with the Prynt Pocket. The app runs smoothly and in accordance with the printer.

Talking about the printing quality, it is quite satisfactory. However, as compared to other high quality mobile printers, the image quality of the Prynt Pocket isn’t great. In the end, the availability of different AR features, user friendly interface, and faster printing speed, the Prynt Pocket really stands out as one of a kind.
