Army Chief Qamar Bajwa Appeals Students To Remain Cautious On Social Media

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa has requested the young and educated students of Pakistan to be wary of hostile notions which are being propagated on social media. While addressing the students, Qamar Bajwa said that such ideas are floated by militant Islamic State group and various other extremist organizations.

On Thursday, he requested the students in an annual internship programme of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) when he paid a visit to its directorate. Moreover, he also congratulated the students on their successful accomplishment of the internship programme.

Two cents of Qamar Bajwa

Speaking to the students, he said that Pakistan is blessed with plenty of talented, bright and young individuals. Additionally, he commented that the future belongs to the youth of Pakistan. Qamar Bajwa also said that he has supreme confidence and that he is hopeful that the young lot of Pakistan will one day realize its potential to take Pakistan to a new glory. Furthermore, he also advised the students to obey the law, to have faith in their abilities and never opt for shortcuts to attain success in life.

When COAS was asked how he managed to uphold his morale despite number of the challenges and pressures, he answered:

“The selfless motivation of his outfit [Pakistan Army] and the hope he saw in the future of Pakistan [the youth] kept him motivated and committed to the cause”

General Qamar Bajwa also made sure that the Army of Pakistan is dedicated to provide the people of Pakistan a benign, secure and steady Pakistan. Likewise, the army has faced number of internal and external challenges to get rid of violence and extremism from Pakistan.

He also said that for stable Pakistan, every citizen of the country will have to play a positive role. He stated:

“Every Pakistani is a soldier of Ruddul Fasaad operation”

While answering a question regarding key to success in life, he replied:

“Your success and progress in life depends on three things: faith in Allah, serve your parents and hard work. This trinity is key to success”

The internship programme 2017 was a 36-days long programme which took place from 11th July to 17th August. Students from various institutes from across the country, including FATA participated in the programme.
