Lahore Blast: Moazzam Paracha, CEO Airlink Communication Among Killed

In the latest act of terrorism, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Airlink Communication, Moazzam Paracha, has lost life. Paracha died in a blast that shook the commercial area of the upscale neighborhood of Defence, Lahore, a little before noon today. A total of 8 people have lost their lives in the strong blast while several others have been injured.

As the early information about the unfortunate incident pours in, Moazzam Paracha was in the same vicinity i.e. Defence Block Z, at the destination for his next venture, when suddenly an explosion took place. Paracha endured serious injuries and was taken to the hospital in an extremely critical situation, however, he couldn’t survive. Another official who was accompanying the CEO, is severely injured and he is currently being treated.

Who was Moazzam Paracha?

The CEO of Airlink Communication had been the chief driving force and the brains behind Airlink Communication. His absence is going to have a deep impact on the company as well as as on the telecom sector on the whole. Among the industry companions, he was widely regarded and known as a highly mature and disciplined individual.

In addition to rendering telecom services, Paracha had also been involved in the tourism and traveling ventures. Moreover, he had been harboring plans to step in the food industry by launching a new restaurant. Moazzam Paracha was always looking for dissimilar opportunities and avenues in order to scale the operations and to enter in new market segments.

Namaz-e-Janaza of Moazzam Paracha will be offered after ISHA prayers tonight.
