Good news for all the smartphone users who have been tormented by short battery lives of their devices! A Chinese company, Meizu, has recently launched the world’s fastest charging solution. According to Meizu’s officials, this rapid charging solution i.e. Super mCharge can completely charge a smartphone within 20 minutes only.
With dozens of smartphones hitting the markets every day, there has been a dire need of such technology that could address the issue of frustratingly short battery life. The technology is known as Super mCharge. The solution is powerful enough to charge a smartphone upto 30 percent within 5 minutes, 60 percent within 10 minutes and almost 85 percent in 15 minutes.
Super mCharge has been showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 which took place in Spain. Meizu has developed this breakthrough technology that can fully charge a drained smartphone within 20 minutes. Subsequently, it enhances user experience significantly. The in-house research and development team at Meizu developed this state of the art product after overcoming major hurdles and obstacles.

Li Tao, Supervisor of Meizu’s R&D team said:
“Innovation isn’t an easy job, but we believe that success comes from passion. We’ve overcome numerous difficulties and obstacles, to create the best technology for all. With Super mCharge, an empty battery can be fully charged in the same amount of time it takes to finish a cup of coffee”
The Fastest and the Safest Charging Solution
The head of the R&D team at Meizu, Tao Li, while commenting on the safety standards of the product stated:
“Super mCharge is not only the fastest charging technology, but the safest one of all”
The Super mCharge will use 11V/5A charging connector that will transfer energy with a significant power of 55W. The charging solution will provide a high quality data cable that will lower dissipation of current and heat.
The system has a built-in heat management system which is a necessity as the charger transfers massive energy at a very fast speed. Therefore, this system will prevent any heat related issues. Nonetheless, the company assured that the battery temperature of Super mCharge is certainly below safe limits and it cannot go above 39 degree centigrade of temperature.
Generally, consumers are reluctant towards these fast charging solutions. The reason is that they often lack in terms of safety standards and reduce the battery lifetime of a smartphone. Super mCharge eliminates all the above mentioned issues as this technology will have more than 2 years of service life and will not affect the battery life. At present, the smartphones’ batteries are developed by advanced manufacturing processing. The material is made of lithium which improves energy throughput. The company said that the battery will stay above 80 percent capacity despite 800 charge and discharge cycles.

The company also stated:
“Only half of the electric current is needed to reach the same power; and its innovative and efficient structure reduces heat generated problems. The data cable and USB port have been redesigned to leave enough area for the cache. It comes along with additional design measures having been taken to ensure safe charging; including a voltage monitoring system, electric current monitoring system and a 10-level safety protection means”
